hey everyone, we are an established band called “The Crofters” a modern Scottish folk duo band which uses guitars, mandolins, harmonicas and stomp boxes etc when performing live in bars and private venues.

Unfortunately the other half of my duo is leaving the country for good which evidently looks like the end of the Crofters but I’m not wanting that to happen!

Craig (the man who is leaving) was a dab hand on the guitar, and vocals and is a key part part to the band and I’m looking for him to be replaced.

Ideally looking for something who is good on rhythm guitar, isn’t shy about singing some songs (this isn’t as important) but someone who is confident enough to play all the covers and original songs we have written.

Our style is folk, (alongside obviously all the bar songs you need to play) we love to play upbeat fast Celtic songs and crowd pleasers but when we get the chance also the slow beautiful folk songs from the likes of amble.

The main thing I need replaced is a guitarist as some of the songs I’m on the mandolin and I need the accompaniment but I also think it would be phenomenal if we could get a fiddle player in the midst too.

I have all the equipment needed to perform anywhere and we have been getting a few bookings around Edinburgh but obviously would take time off first to get ready as a team.

When we gig it’s around £250 a night in a pub and around £300+ for any private functions.

I’d love to have a chat with anyone in regards to this as we could be on to something special if we managed to get experienced players in the midst, please don’t feel like because it be said guitarist mainly that if you play any other instrument you wouldn’t be thought of, SEND ME A REQUEST IF YOU PLAY ANYTHING!! as any instruments in this band could sound unreal!
