I am Terry Revill and own a Youth Theatre called Flash Musicals in Edgware North London. As an ex working musician, in collaboration with a couple of friends, also musicians, we thought it would be a great idea to encourage young musicians to have the experience of playing in a band , on stage, using full professional equipment which we will supply, Guitars, Back Line Amplifiers, PA, Monitoring Facilities, Drums, Keyboards, Lighting, Sound & Lighting Engineers, Stage Manager etc as used by a professional outfit and in front of a live audience. Our aim is to encourage young people to take their abilities to a new level and maybe have a taste of how fantastic live performing can be. We have lived our own lives through music and our ability to entertain and inspire others and wish to help pass this on to a new generation.
We are looking for Boy/Girl Rock Musicians 10 to 16 years old to play/perform in a one off rock concert at my Theatre.
The music we are looking for them to perform is Rock Classics/Anthems.
Auditions to pick the Band and play the live concert will be held at my Theatre.
People who will be Running/Producing/Directing this concert and the auditions are old professional musicians.
Terry Revill: A Session Musician (Drums & Base) and Theatre Owner who played on hit records in the 70s, Produced & Directed many Musicals including The “Grease Mania” Tour., and mentored members of the Boy Band “Blue”
Tony Lander: Guitarist with Episode Six, which included Ian Gillan and Roger Glover of Deep Purple, and lifetime gigging musician/session player.
Rick DeJongh: Vocalist, worked with well known big bands, backing and session singer, arranger and composer.
We would like to stress we do not run a Music School and have no intention of opening up a Music School, we are not Music/Instrument Teachers so their would be no conflict of interest. In fact we are hoping it will raise your profile as a Teacher.
If you think you have someone that could fit the bill please contact me as this would be very good experience for young players on a professional stage/environment and live audience for a one off concert.
