I have been playing in bands for 4 years, I have been gigging most weekends in front of different crowds and playing at different venues. The bands that I have played with have given me different experiences and different genres. I have played with
Cover bands
Acoustic musicians.
A Crossover Folk, Rock and Celtic Fusion Band.
Singer songwriter musicians.
Local musicals and pantomimes.
Blues Band.
An Original band called “Mirrorlit” gave me the opportunity to record 3 songs with videos. This experience gave me an insight into the workings of a music studio as a working musician.
Reggae/Dub/Ska band.
I have my own small scale music studio at my home which I can use to record my own tracks and sessions for either artists or I can use it for my own use.
I can cater for all types of music and genres. I have the equipment for some electronic styles too.
The studio is also used regularly as a practice studio with bands including local musicians and my college band.
I used to volunteer for an internet based radio station not far from my home so I have gained experience in how radio works and all the rules and licenses you need. I was involved in playing music that the listeners wanted to hear and was the front man for the daily breakfast show.
I have been involved in writing a musical which required me to score the drums. We performed this in a local theatre with the possibility that the musical will be performed in other theatres across the country.
I have organized and run my own open mic nights using my own PA system and invited many local musicians to these evenings as well as attending many other organized open night sessions close to home. These have all given me experience in playing with a variety of musicians.
I played as a kit drummer with St Athens Brass Band from Cardiff in a concert with one nights notice and no time to practice. This shows how I can be very adaptable and fit in and become part of a team. I feel that I work well under pressure and I was honored to have been given the opportunity.
I went on tour to Belgium and performed with my School Orchestra and Choir. This was a very enjoyable as it gave me to opportunity to play in a foreign country in front a large audience, again as part of a team.
As I have my own PA system, I have been the DJ for many local children’s birthday parties and and at wedding parties. I have also volunteered in a local music festival as a DJ.
I feel that I have many skills to offer as a musician. I am able to read and sight read drum music as well as improvise and busk. I have some knowledge of playing other instruments as I have self- taught myself guitar chords and piano. i have achieved grade 5 on the trumpet.
I have taught in a primary school and tutored children how to play drums, I teach them from Trinity Guild Hall introducing the drum kit for beginners this includes basic drum notation and basic drum kit skills you need as a foundation for starting the drum kit.

I Currently have
Vintage Ludwig 1966 Blue Sparkle Kit 3 piece with matching Snare which is a Vintage Blue Sparkle 1961 Jazz Festival Pre Serial and a Vintage Ludwig 400 1965.
I also have a Yamaha 30th Anniversary Maple Custom Kit which is 4 piece which is from the year 1997.
The last Kit i have is a Pearl Session Elite kit from 1980 which is also another 3 piece kit.
The cymbals i always use are Paiste Twenty, Masters and Custom with a few Paiste Signature Cymbals too.
I always use Vic Firth Steve Jordan Sticks.
