hi,
My name is Steve (drummer, 51) part of an extremely talented funk and disco band Grooveworx comprising of lead and bass guitar, drums and really talented female vocals we're looking for the right Keyboard player to enhance the musical element and open up other numbers to us. We need an equally committed person with plenty of experience, drive and ambition to slot in and make the difference we're looking for.
We aim at a very professional approach to the function / corporate audience but may move outside that for the right gigs. Musically its Funk, soul and disco peppered with some of the usuals but we really want the dance stuff from day one. We have a set list but any ideas could be incorporated from the off. Looking to finalise roughly 2 hours of set worthy material and pretty much stick to it but possibly add or subtract to suit venues / gigs.
We aim to be gigging within a couple of months and intend either before or after put a few tracks down and post a website etc. Maybe register with some agencies too but we are pretty industrious individuals and take every opportunity to sell ourselves.
Finally we hail from West Midlands and we rehearse in our own rehearsal room, this is in Aldridge (Walsall) either Tues, Wed or Thurs are our anticipated rehearsal eves 7.30 - 10.30 ish. We have full PA / monitoring equipment etc and lights.
