Female vocalist, looking for Greek folk and rock musicians around the Glasgow area, but if you’re further than that we can still try to figure something out. Ideally I’d like to start a band but duos or occasional jam sessions can work, too. My schedule is flexible but a little busy, so I’m looking for people that either play for fun or are not too committed, for busking or open mic nights, possibly a couple of small gigs I if there’s interest.
My strongest genres are acoustic singer-songwriter stuff, and Greek/Turkish folk and indie folk. Range wise I’m a clear and smooth alto.
I love a very large variety of music genres, and I like defying definitions and experimenting with different styles and instruments.
I can also keep a rhythm with a few chords on my guitar, but that’s pretty much the extent of my skill in that area. Good for some support for the main guitar, though.
I’m really looking forward to meeting new people through here and see how we gel together.

Influences
various Greek female vocalists, mostly indie folk but some more hardcore laiko, Lizeta Kalimeri, Eleni Vitali, Katerina Stanisi, Charoula Alexiou. Repertoire wise, mostly folk and entechno, especially 70’s 80’s 90’s Paschalidis, Peridis, Loizos, Th. Papakonstantinou, Thivaios etc. but can go quite a bit more laiko.
