Hi there,
I'm a 34 yr old Guitarist, 17yrs playing, done a few gigs, i have decent gear, Gibson SG and 120 watt Vox amp, also have Shure SM58, (i can do backing vocals and some lead vocals)
I'm basically looking to start up a rock band in the vein of early AC/DC and The Who, doing covers to start with then maybe going on to writing own material, (i'm too old to think about 'making it', i just wanna push myself creatively)
I can play lead if needed but prefer to rock out on Rythm.
You can be a guy or girl, young or old, i'm not bothered as long as you have the right attitude, decent sound and gear and of course, commitment!!
So, i'm looking for:
Drummer- A steady rocking groove machine (If you play like Phil Rudd, AC/DC then def get in touch) ability to jam essential.
Bass Player- You will lock in with the drums and be the backbone of the band, no showy playing, just solid rythm. (Backing vocals would be nice if you can sing)
Lead Guitar- Someone who knows how to structure a solo, and plays with 'feel' and energy, no widdlers or Ibanez Jem owners please, must also be good Rythm player.
Lead Vocals- A Classic Rock/Blues voice, soulful but strong,in the style of Bon Scott, Paul Rodgers or David Coverdale, must have stage presence, ability to 'talk' in between songs, no overblown egotists, there is a difference between confidence and arrogance ya know!!
