Currently play in a band, which is having problems due to personal reasons. Dont want to give up playing in a band.
Played guitar since 8yr old, (11 years), been self taught for last 7years. Been in a band for 2 n half years. Think it might be time to move on as things aren't compromising with our current setup.

Influences
anything with a guitar in, but mainly the big ones, Metallica. Have a love of Sevendust, and other similar bands such as Seether. Have a soft spot for Green Day, and a love of Linkin Park, pretty much grew up musically with them over the last 5+ years.
EQUIPMENT
unfortunately, being a student, equipment isn't a strong point. Have 2 Les Pauls, not very good makes but hey... they make a noise! A nice 12string semi acoustic, and a crappy encore strat, does the trick tho. A Laney Linebacker (40Watt, i think) is the best i can do amp wise, effects wise i'm trashed as the effects pedal i use aint mine.
