So Danco Samba are an exciting new band consisting of double bass, piano, vocals and percussion. With a repertoire that primarily mixes Latin Jazz (Afro-Cuban and Brazilian) with American Swing-Jazz (Sinatra and Dean Martin to name but a few), their sets cover a wide range of world music guaranteed to get your party or function moving. So Danco Samba are also available with extra musicians, including a brass section and/or additional percussion, depending on the occasion. For example, a 9-piece Latin band is an ideal option for Salsa Dancing events.

James Bennett
Outside of 'So Danco Samba', James has enjoyed a varied performing career, playing the double bass in Jazz bands and Theater shows, played Electric Guitar in function bands including 'The Police Cover-Up' (the U.K.'s most convincing Sting & The Police sound-alike) and 'Get Down!' (Disco function band). An accomplished classical guitarist, James has achieved a successful balance of both teaching and performing.
A versatile Jazz singer, James’ voice combines expression and technique, maintaining a strong sense of melody.
Lisanne Otten
Originally from Holland, Lisanne moved to England to earn a BA (Hons) music degree from Liverpool’s prestigious LIPA Academy (formed by Sir Paul McCartney).
As a professional musician performing with various ensembles on both bass guitar and keyboards, Lisanne also maintains solo piano residencies in hotels and restaurants, showcasing her classical and jazz skills.
Previous career highlights include being the musical director of a West End cabaret show, touring Egypt with Arabic influenced originals band ‘The Property of Nadia Shanab’, writing and performing her own music on various stages, including Belgian national television.
Duke Grooves - Drummer
Duke is a highly experienced professional drummer, maintaining a busy schedule of performing, teaching, writing and recording. Playing credentials include playing percussion for 60’s legends ‘The Yardbirds’ on their recent re-union tour.
Duke has performed with bands in front of thousands internationally at venues including London HMV Forum, Manchester Academy, Amsterdam Melkweg, Munich Theaterfabrik and Luxembourg Denatelier.
