ABOUT

Powderhead are a Cambridge based 5 piece who started in Feb this year as low pressure ‘more fun than anything else’ type affair with the aim to write and gig original material, with the occasional recording thrown in for good measure. We now find ourselves without a bass player and drummer, so we need reliable, committed and (somewhat) talented musicians with stage gear, own transport and a total willingness to write some kick-ass rock n roll tunes!!! The most important thing is to fit in both musically as personally.

Our ages range from 29 to 42, we tend to rehearse once a week (although occasionally more) in Cambridge and we gig whenever we can, fitting into personal lives. We have written a set's worth of songs already (go to reverbnation/powderhead to hear some of these recorded live) and are continuing to work on more material. We also have a handful of covers under our belt. Main song writing influences are the likes of (in no particular order): Guns n Roses, AC/DC, Backyard Babies, Zakk Wylde, Motorhead, Deep Purple, Kiss and Aerosmith with a splattering of Stoner and Grunge thrown in for good measure. More info can be found at https://www./powderheadband

If this excites you and you want to have a good laugh making some cool music then get in touch. Let us know your own influences and links to any music you've been involved in. You can mail us at powderhead(at)(dot)com or text/call Si on 07970 467588.
