Currently myself on guitar and a drummer...looking to complete a new band that will be rock covers. Also perhaps write some originals, though starting out primarily to get a covers set and then get out there gigging! I teach evenings so weekends suit me better for rehearsals, though a weekday evening is a possibility with some planning...but once a set is together and gigs are there I can do more as it will then pay! Not gigged in over 4 years so eager to get back into it all again!! Last 2 bands folded before we got out there(one drummer left cos it wasn't happening fast enough for him so others gave up.. and the other well we couldn't get a drummer...they're like gold dust to get a good'n! As I said, due to my teaching in the evenings, I play 7 days a week either on lessons or at home practicing for myself. Played for 19 years. Brian May, Gary Moore and EVH are amongst my very fave players and influences!

re this band - having seen too many poor bands that sound like they should still be rehearsing this band will have its set down well before we gig...so when we do get out there we'll sound professional. Thus there is no mad rush to get out there gigging asap - but we'll get there when we do ie however long it takes. So if your impatient and want to be gigging in a few weeks then no need to apply here! This band will also be a band that all members have an equal say. Nobody will be calling all the shots. Except me of course. Hehe just kidding.

Queen, Free, Bad Company, Thunder, Pink Floyd, Def Leppard,RHCP, Clapton, Deep Purple, Rainbow, Van Halen,Stevie Winwood, ACDC, Whitesnake, GnR, Bon Jovi, Nirvana, some blues, some Oasis and Greenday even! Vai, Satriani, etc etc. If it sounds good and is melodic I'll like it! Not into sick metal bands with screaming growling vocals. So cookie monster vocalists need not apply here!
