SEEKING
Bass Guitar, Drums, Keyboard.ABOUT
I have been a singer for over 40 years. Looking for the rest of the Sinister Dexter Band. I've been working towards the current suite which is Seriously...WTF is going on?. Which is either an attack on the current state of affairs with overuse of social media,
and the use of people and planet as free resources for those with enough power to exploit them or it's just an old man barking at the moon. Not looking for virtuosi, sure as hell I'm not one. I just want to bring this work to life with a real band.
If you haven't paid for a full membership feel free to contact me at johnnytinseltown at hot mail .co.uk.

Influences
Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Frank Zappa are probably the three greatest influences on me. I like the fact that all of them stretched the boundaries and were not defined by narrow music genres so I could just as easily include the beatles, jellyfish, red per, Gillian Welch, fleet foxes, grateful dead, the band, quicksilver messenger service. I love long grooves and bands that sit in them and explore them

Scorched Earth
Scorched Earth Track number: 2 Year: 2025 Album: Seriously...WTF is going on? Genre: Progressive
Scorched Earth Finally free of winters game, the restless hunters’ home Settled wolves lie by the fire and gnaw on roasted bones Mighty Aurochs share their milk for calves now long since grown Give us now our daily bread from germs that we have sown From the oceans inky depths with net and hook and line Earth and flood will keep us fed throughout the darkest times Through the harvest of machines, the jealous husband trawls Loathe to share the bounty bought with aught that swims or crawls Free the Genie ‘pon the world in service of the yield What comes of this unstoppered might unleashed upon the fields? The hungry dog looked on the stream and saw a bigger bone But now with all the garden gone, the ape sits all alone

Find My Way Home
Find My Way Home Track number: 1 Year: 2025 Album: TBD Genre: Rock
Find my way home All of my life I have travelled Boy to a man I have roamed Try as I might With no end in sight I just couldn’t find my way home Every point of the compass Companioned or all on my own From East to the West Whichever looked best I still couldn't find my way home My rod and my staff are my comfort A desert of asphalt and stone The wilderness seems Much of my odyssey Never fated to find my way home Eyes fast fix the Horizon Far from the nest I had flown Often misunderstood Wine is thicker than blood And I still cannot find my way home Out of the crags and the shadows A beacon of light fin’lly shone Your loving has been A North star for me And I know that I’ll find my way home No matter the trials and the troubles No matter the sticks and the stones Whatever’s in store For your troubadour I will always find my way home Find my way home Find my way home Find my way home Find my way home

Glass Houses
Glass Houses Track number: 2 Year: 2025 Album: Seriously...WTF is going on? Genre: Progressive
Glass Houses I have seen your face a thousand times When you smile, you smile for me Every picture is a window on your soul There for all the world to see I’m so happy that I’ve found you Now I always get to hold you closer You’re my first thought in the morning And the last before I sleep Never knew my life could be fulfilled like this I’m not just another creep I’m so happy that I’ve touched you Now I always get to hold you closer Share your best life with all your friends Share your best life out for everyone to see In your glass house never meant to share with me Who will notice? Who will notice you? I do! I know all your favourite places All the things you like to eat When I finally get to meet you face to face Then my life will be complete I’ll be so happy that I’ve known you Now I always get to keep you closer I have seen your face a thousand times Now you’re smiling just for me Your ever-opened eyes, a window to your soul No-one else will ever see
