ABOUT

I'm a bass player currently looking for a drummer and a keyboard player for an originals project, Ghost Dog. "Psychedelic alt-country tunes with a shoegaze twist" or so the bio goes. Americana to prog to roadhouse with lots of space to stretch out.

Currently we are 2 guitars, bass and a collection of part-time drummers. We are looking for someone a little more permanent on the sticks and a keys player to fill out the sound. We all contribute songs and the same would apply to anyone joining us.

Playing wise, we like to improvise. We all have a lot of jamband type influences and like the aesthetic.

Influences

As for influences, most recently I've been listening to Vulfpeck, Cory Wong, The New Mastersounds, The Dip, Rosalie Cunningham to name a few. I grew up influenced by Krautrock (Kraan, Amon Duul II, Guru Guru) but also jazz rock (Jean Luc Ponty, Alan Holdsworth, Passport) and a fair share of electronic music as well (Tangerine Dream, Ashra, Abfahrt Hinwil, etc...)

I'm also a long time Deadhead, Zappa nut, Phish phan, etc... I like the jamband vibe and I always find ways to weave interpretation into my playing. I don't mind a specific part but I do want to make each performance somewhat unique.

EQUIPMENT

Gear wise I’m fairly sorted. 4-string, 5-string, fretted, fretless, etc… I can get whatever sound is required for a song. We have a dedicated rehearsal space in Wandsworth (close to Clapham Junction). I also have a small studio for recording (no acoustic drums or amps) and I primarily use Logic to record.
