ABOUT

I'm an experienced drummer (please ignore where it says 7 years experience, I picked up my first pair of drum sticks in 1970) with a keen interest in recording in my home project studio. I've taken early retirement from my old day job and now want to spend a lot of time creating and recording original music with other highly competent musicians in a similar position who as passionate and enthusiastic about it as I am! With DAWs like Pro Tools it's very easy to work collaboratively via the cloud so distance and location are really no issue.

I've been working on a recording project with ex-band mates and other musician friends, but I'd like to expand this to other people who can and want to spend time recording. I can't offer any financial reward, but if you want the opportunity to record collaboratively, including my drum parts on your own material if you have any, this could be for you.

Influences

I'm interested in recording well-structured, melodic original material that features very competent musicianship. I've indicated the main genres I've played in the past, but I'm also interested in fusing this with jazz, funk and latin elements.
