ABOUT

Hello! My name is Sara and I am a first year student at the university of Manchester. I have played piano ever since I was 7. I took classical piano lessons for about 4 hours, then I started playing in a church band accompanied by bass guitar, drums, acoustic guitar electrical guitar and vocals. After doing this for about 7 years, I changed my orientation towards a more acoustic and pop music cover and joined a band with drums, guitar and vocals in pubs around Bucharest, Romania. I can sing almost anything I hear by chords and I would like to learn jazz and blues piano as well as I am familiar with the theory behind them.

Influences

My musical background contains a lot of Christian contemporary, as well as acoustic music and covers of pop songs, such as Bruno Mars, Lewis Capaldi, James Blake and certain rock and pop bands like Coldplay, Needtobreathe or The 1975. Vocally, one of the voices I sing best to are Charlotte Cardin and Jorja Smith. I also listen to a lot oh hip hop and grime artists like Stormzy or Dave. I can listen and adapt to any style of music.
