Salt River Shakedown

We are Salt River Shakedown and we believe that we bring an electric live performance that gets any crowd to let out their inner Rock n’ Roll!!!
Our main goal as a band is to provide an unforgettable no frills old school Rock n Roll show, no backing tracks, just 3 dudes pouring their heart and soul into their instruments.
Everything we do is completely live and filled with electric rock blues power!

We are on the search for our new vocalist!

Are you a rock/blues/soul singer looking for a band? Are you dedicated, creative and musically ambitious? Do you like Star Wars? Then we might be the band for you!

What are we looking for in a singer?
We are looking for somebody who can hit the ground running and get stuck straight in. We are extremely dedicated to this band and are looking for somebody who can match that. We’re in this for the long run. We are looking for somebody who is financially stable and willing to put in the time to make this work.

Preferably we are looking for somebody with a blues-rock or soul kind of voice, but we are open to new ideas. Here are some of our inspirations to give you an idea of the general vibe we are looking for: Rival Sons, Led Zeppelin, James Brown, Paul Rodgers, Janis Joplin, Chris Cornell, The Temperance Movement, Alabama Shakes, Chris Stapleton.

Experience playing live is essential. We are looking for a great frontman/woman who can draw an audience in. We pride ourselves in our explosive live shows and want somebody who can slot right into that and help elevate it to a new level. You also have to be up for tours when they come up. Touring experience would definitely be a bonus but not essential.

We are looking for somebody willing to experiment and get creative musically. We are constantly trying to push ourselves and try new things and want somebody who can jump in and help us find new directions.

We have a band look that we try to follow for stage attire. If you were to join we encourage you to be creative with this but we would like you to match the general style as much as possible. Look at most pictures on our page, or most of our influences listed earlier, for examples.

We are based in and around Glasgow so preferably we are looking for somebody in the central Scotland area.

Importantly we are looking for somebody who can be a pal and is up for a laugh. Nae roasters.

We have been a tight unit for over 5 years now, progressing steadily each year. We are self sustaining, recording our music ourselves (we are all sound engineers) and creating our own music videos. We have been working with Reaction Management for about a year and a half now who have been incredible and provide a tonne of support. If you join us you will be getting in on something very exciting.

If you don’t know us: hi! We are Salt River Shakedown. We make bluesy hard rock music and love to play live. If you want to hear what we do you can check out some tracks at the links below or listen to our EP “Road to the Sacred Island” on all major music streaming services.

So, if this sounds like something that interests you we urge you to get in touch! Send over a video submission of you singing to saltrivershakedown@ and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible. If you have links to any footage of you playing live please send that over also.

We are extremely excited to hear from you and watch your submissions! Please share this post and recommend it to anybody you know who may be interested!

Thank you so much for your time!
Peace and love
