Band to Join.

I'm Sally Payne, a Birmingham based drummer. I am mature with a pro attitude and am very experienced having played rock, pop, blues, soul, country, folk, indie and a few 'out-there' gigs!. I have quality gear and my own transport. I'm willing to rehearse to get ready for gigs but I'm not keen on endless rehearsals, gigs are more fun :) I like playing with a click and backing tracks are no problem.

The first demo is a short segue of a live set from summer 2009 that I recorded on my Zoom digital 8tr. Little Rachel and the Stumble are both recordings from years ago, Little Rachel I recorded on a Portastudio 4tr cassette in 1998 and The Stumble was recorded at Hit Pit 8tr studio back in 1989.

You can also find me as sallypayne on musofinder - email me there.

I grew up with the Beatles and blues. I love good pop music, country rock and new country, Chicago style blues, good soul and funk, classy electric folk, great jazz-fusion, jazz-rock, in fact most jazz. I listen to most music except roots reggae, roots blues and 'finger-in-the-ear' folk music!

Too many drum heroes to name but Ringo Starr, Mike Mancini, Gavin Harrison, Annika Nilles, Sheila E, Dave Mattacks, Dave Weckl, Simon Phillips, Steve Gadd, Russ Kunkel and John Robinson are some of the really great modern drummers that float my boat :)
