I am a jazz singer based near Lancaster. I am passionate about all jazz, but when it comes to my own vocals, I'm most drawn to the Songbook subgenre - Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, the Gershwins, and so on. Songs made timeless by singers such as Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Peggy Lee.
I've sung in various venues - from the Pump Room in Pittville Park, Cheltenham, to a spot at the Cheltenham Jazz Fringe Festival in 2012. I've tried big bands and little bands. What I'm looking for now is a few musicians - preferably a pianist/keyboardist, guitar, double bass. I'm looking for people who want to have fun with jazz music but also who are serious about practising, recording and getting gigs.
