Carrie Tree is a singer songwriter who has become a well known voice on the festival and acoustic scene in England and also has a following in Europe, America and Australia. For the last 3 years she has been backed by a rhythm section with alternative percussion including tabla, water drums and other sounds as well as double bass. We mainly play intimate gigs with listening audiences.
The music is a blend of acoustic folk with a hint of world music. Carrie is an internationally recognised artist and has released an album and EP to date. There is a second album due for release early 2013 with a spring/summer album launch tour on the horizon in the UK and Europe.
We are excited to bring a fourth member to the band, someone who can bring more variety and diversity to our sound.
Ideally we are looking for a multi-instrumentalist, preferably female, that can play a number of instruments which we can use on different songs. A violinist who can also add backing vocals. Other instruments we'd like to consider are accordion, mandolin etc (please see list above). We are open to experimenting and trying new things out. We like to bring in different genres and "flavours" together to keep the music fresh and interesting.

Carrie's music has been described by audience members and co-artists as having a unique depth and originality. Carrie expresses honest and passionate sentiments often leaving listeners spell-bound.
The band's influences are among other artists John Martyn, Lhasa de Sela, Nick Drake, Ali Farka Toure, Iron and Wine.
Carrie supported Damien Rice on his 2003 UK tour and has had the opportunity to work with Lamb, Ben Taylor (USA), Carly Simon (USA), Marillion, Duke Special (Ireland) and others.
