Hi,
My name is Rory and I have played the drums since I was 7 years old. I achieved my Trinity rock and pop grade 8 in 2023, and have since been pursuing a diploma. I enjoy nearly anything with a groove, am in a jazz band and have played in musical theatre, most recently the broadway Legally Blond Musical. I am Good at improvisation and playing with other musicians, and have fun coming composing pieces occasionally. Not in a band yet but am looking!
In school I also dabbled in orchestral percussion like timpani, xylophone and glockenspiel, which I can play but not to any true skill I think. I also achieved a grade 5 acoustic guitar, which I do enjoy improvising on and messing about with in my free time.
I don't have much experience playing professionally, but am keen to start. (also I was born 2006, so quite young if this is an issue for anyone)
