I've been playing drums since the age of 7 and have been fortunate enough to be part of numerous ensembles gigging around the country, and into Europe. Coming from a classical background, I have transitioned into jazz and now more commercial mainstream styles.
Having lived in Cornwall all my life I can appreciate it's a beautiful part of the world and it's a great base for my other passion - software development (complete contrast!).

Influences
I will listen to and learn from most styles of music. Big drum influences for me include Dave Weckl, Jojo Mayer, Aaron Spears and Chris Coleman. I'm comfortable playing anything from Carly Rae Jepsen, Lady Antebellum through to Aretha Franklin.

EQUIPMENT
I have a range of Yamaha acoustic drums with Zildjian cymbals, along with Roland Electronics. My setup can change according the situation / requirement but I like to be as self-contained as possible. For example I carry my own mics, in-ears, monitor desk with mic split, power distribution and playback from iPad if needed.
