In the past, I've was bass player for a Metallica tribute band. We also operated as an originals band and recorded a few songs. I did gigs with both versions.
In recent years, I have performed on my own at open mic nights. I enjoy doing covers of Oasis, Green Day, and Tom Petty.
I mainly play the acoustic guitar but would happily play the electric or bass guitar if necessary.

Influences
My music taste is a bit all over the place. I like rock and metal from the 1970s , 1980s and 1990s. I think late 80s hair metal is the best genre of all time. However, most of the modern music I like is not rock at all.
I find 80s metal fun to play on the guitar, such as Metallica, Iron Maiden and Megadeth. I can barely play any of the solos though.
I'm not good with fast lead guitar playing, so I feel most comfortable doing a Lynyrd Skynyrd solo.
