PROGRESSIVE METAL BAND SEEKS MUSICIANS FOR HIGH-INTENSITY LIVE PERFORMANCE
Hello and greetings, fellow music people!
I am putting together a live band to perform original material to a very precise and high level
Genre could loosely be described as progressive metal…think Devin Townsend meets Lamb of God with tinges of Architects and Machine Head
I have a 12-track album completed and released, which if you are interested I will link you to. I also have several songs for another album fully written.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
- I am looking to put on a very effects-heavy live show. I have an extensive light rig and will be programming a light show via DMX, and there are quite a few classical instruments used in the music, so ability to play to a click or backing track massively helpful
- With any/all positions, the ability to sing (either clean vocals, or heavy vocals, or both) would be a massive advantage – vocal harmonies and multi-layered vocal lines are a prominent feature of the music
- The project is quite versatile musically, ranging from mostly acoustic songs to things that would be considered extreme metal. A wide array of musical tastes would be a big help!
- Extensive gigging experience very much preferred but so long as you have some I’m sure we can work with it
- Unfortunately due to the nature of the show (ft. strobe lights, lasers, smoke effects and beam effects) anybody with a photosensitive condition would not work simply for reasons of health and safety
I currently have a drummer and bassist, but this is on a temporary basis as their commitments are too much to add this on top long-term (both are aware of this!). I am planning on doing vocals only but will be playing guitar as well until two suitable guitarists are found
THEREFORE, I AM LOOKING FOR:
- 2x Guitarists (7-string or more necessary)
- Bassist (5-string or more highly preferable)
- Drummer
