Firstly thanks for checking out my ad. I'm a 26 year old guitarist with over 10 years playing experience and I'm looking to start an original Metal band.
First things first, my personal influences from this genre are very much routed in bands such as Metallica, Megadeth, Slipknot and other similar groups such as Suicidal Tendencies etc. I'm personally more of a rhythm guitarist who can bust out a solo every now and then, I'm looking for a vocalist, Drummer, Bass Player and 2nd Guitarist who can take on lead duties.
I'd like this to be a serious project with a view to writing new material and learning a few covers so we can get gigging.
A little bit extra about me, I'm also a trained sound engineer for both studio and live, I've worked with 100's of musicians in the past and the one thing I will say is if you have a massive ego, can't handle constructive criticism and don't like working with others then don't get in touch.
I'm looking for team players who are passionate and open minded to not only different types of Metal but different genres of music. Screaming type vocals are a no unfortunately, I want to get back to dirty riffs, good solos and clear vocals.
