For a while I have wanted to set a band up along the lines of Pink Floyd, Marillion, Genesis etc. You don't hear much of that played any more but it is popular. To me, that type of music is interesting. Songs that don't follow the standard format. I hate to use this word, but progressive.
I am a guitarist that has played in bands since I was 16 (23 years!). I am a lead guitarist - not into the shedding scene. For me, the lead is all about the melody and sound.
I am based in Bentham, but travelling to Lancaster is no problem.

In terms of guitarists, I love David Gilmour and Steve Rothery. Their sound and style are both brilliant. Lindsay Buckingham when he gets going is pretty handy too.
