Hi I'm a guitarist from Droitwich in his 30s with own transport, good gear and gigging experience. I can play lead and rhythm but I get annoyed with excessive soloing as I think it loses most of the audience. I learn fast, am passionate about music and will also help with songwriting.
Ideally I am looking for a band to play live and loud. I am happy to play covers or originals but am more interested in more up to date stuff rather than the same old covers that everyone does.
Examples of what I am into include a range from classic rock (Hendrix, Cream) to heavier stuff (Soundgarden, Evanescence, Disturbed). Equally I am happy playing more ballad like stuff such as Crowded House and have even played some Pink and Adele is previous bands. Thrash metal and Punk are fine - just not my ideal genre. In an ideal world an evanescence/within temptation band would be my very exciting!
I will be honest from the start I wouldn't be happy playing 1) 50-60s pop tunes 2) Country 3) Jazz 4) a full set of the same covers everyone does (I.e. Mustang Sally, Sweet Home Alabama, Sweet Child of Mine) as there are plenty of bands that do that and I think most audiences deserve something different 5) in acoustic bands (I didn't buy my Marshall half stack for nothing!). I think everything else should be fun! Also bear in mind my lead style is more Gilmour than shredder!
Sorry if the above seems specific but I have a professional job (shift work including nights and weekends) and a young family (hence, my time is precious) and to be honest if I play with a band I want us all to be happy. Let me know if you are interested.

Wide ranging rock influences from Hendrix and Cream to Evanescence and Disturbed. I enjoy listening to anything but Country and Opera!
