My name is Adz, im starting up a heavy metal band in Birmingham with my friend Martin who will be doing lead guitar. The band itself will be an original music band consisting of 4 members being a vocalist, drummer, bass and guitar. Ravenwolf is a working title however we will be changing it when we have something to replace it.
We are Birmingham based and right now are looking for a drummer and a female vocalist.
Female vocalist is preferred as we feel that we can create new music that will stand out from everything else and having a female voice will help us do that. If you play guitar as well as being able to sing then that is a bonus but is not a requirement as you would also provide rhythm to the songs. We don't have anything against males singing but we really want this to work so we want to be able to stand out.
We have a rough draft of a song already which we called track 1 as we haven't really decided how it will sound eventually or what it is about etc. We will be letting the lyrics decide what the title of the song will be as well as a possible change
We will try and aim to practise at least once a week on weekends and we plan to get a proper demo track recorded in the next few days.
You will need your own gear and your own travel i.e drive, bus/train etc whatever you need to do to get to the studios/gigs when them happen.
We don't deal with time wasters as we are serious about this. We will be doing this for the music because we have the passion for music.
Naturally, because we are going to want to play in clubs/bars etc, 18+ is the min age (though it should go without saying)
We will also be using Hockley Studios in Birmingham City Centre as its a central location, cheap and cheerful but also decent considering we are starting out
