ABOUT

This is Rango Aloof.
When I think of this idea, I do not think of the musical influences and go to that.

I think of the personalities I see in history. In the time I made the 5 track demo”Sound Bites for a Bitter Armageddon” I had the influence of Orson Welles, Charlie Chaplin, Blackadder and Ultimately... Lucifer.

The music just pours out of you when you make a response to those individuals that helped shape your mind.

What came out was in low C tuned, heavy guitars and bass with thumping, rhythmic drums and the sonorous effect of keyboard, piano.

I would like to find like minded individuals who sees this as an opportunity to create a unique sounding style with a flair of the theatrics. A basis that would say it is ok to poke the demon every once in a while.

Influences

It’s a varying degree of influences
Stemming from the likes of Metal:
Metallica, Slayer, Ghost, Slipknot

Prog: Pink Floyd, Tool

And even black metal: Mayhem, Gorgoroth, Emperor.

But they only capture moments in the music.

Members Of Band

It has been just me throughout this pandemic writing material and bouncing them of a brick wall... There’s only so many times you go to that brick wall and the same answer is bounced back at you without realising, “God I need a band!”

EQUIPMENT

From it’s 2 Electrical guitars, 1 Bass Guitar and a busted MacBook Pro with a running Logic Pro X.

Also a Line 6 Spider III 180 watt amp.
