Award winning wedding & party band based in Exeter, Devon.

We provide fun, high energy entertainment for weddings, holiday parks and events in Devon, Cornwall and Somerset.

Performing as Quite Brazen (4 piece Band) and Quite Brazen (Duo) for the last 14 years. Focusing on mainly contemporary (90's/2000's/2010's/2020's) covers with plenty of cool classics thrown in for good measure.

We have our own purpose built studio. Brazen Sound Studios, Exeter. We specialise in live recording & promo video production. It is also a band rehearsal space and RSL Examination centre.

Influences

Contemporary pop & rock with a funky twist.
We each have a huge range of personal influences but as a cover band, we generally play what we enjoy, what gets people on the dancefloor, singing along and having a good time. Our repertoire varies from bang up to date Lizzo & Dua Lipa tracks to Lady Gaga, Adele and Bruno Mars with a twist of Guns N Roses, Queen and Fratellis!

Cal is in an original band who are doing exceptionally well and so, after many years with us - is needing to concentrate on headlining large scale festivals in 2023 and is taking a hiatus from performing with QB next summer (May-Oct). It may be a permanent thing if he needs to tour and concentrate fully on his band.

We are seeking a pro drummer who can play with IEMs to a click and able to trigger a sample pad. We would expect you to be professional, reliable and committed, able to learn songs quickly and efficiently and to be able to do a full summer of weekend (mostly Saturdays) gigs across Devon and Cornwall (we go as far down as Lizard Point). We had the opportunity to continue playing during the pandemic (due to our contracts with holiday resorts) and have done a mixture of weddings and resorts this year. We will have done 26 weekends between March & December this year and we hope to do more in 2023 now that usual service has resumed.

Our main work consists of weddings, events and holiday resorts. We don't play at pubs or social clubs. If we do, its usually for a private booking or out of season to try out new additions to the set, meet wedding clients etc.

EQUIPMENT

We have everything we need to put on a great show. Including full PA, Lighting rig - including full colour 3D laser & digital mixing desk. Using a dedicated sound & lighting specialist for larger scale events such as wedding receptions.

We do use some tracks for certain songs in our repertoire so our drummer works to a click and triggers tracks and additional vocals from a sample pad. We use IEMs and due to the nature of our work, we don't use a backline of amps - instead going direct to our digital desk. This helps with swift set ups and smaller/compact venues. Our drummer plays an acoustic kit - he has a small baby Tama for compact stages and his bigger kit for larger stages.
