I'm a singer, guitarist who can bash out/program a beat, stab out a melody/synth line/chord, shake a shaker, and owns a Mustang bass for my puny guitarist sized hands.
I've written my own songs for years, which you can find examples of new and old on my Soundcloud (soundcloud DOT com/firstcircles). I have a backlog of riffs and ideas to trawl through and love jamming and coming up with new ideas. I've often been the main songwriter, but I'm interested in sharing duties, working together, writing parts, or taking a back seat entirely if the writing is strong.
I enjoy jamming and working on an idea and have a decent pedal collection and love getting weird and wild with sounds. I like playing textural stuff just as much as I like playing a big heavy hitting riff or a screaming solo. I like weird time signatures, but I also like it when a track just gets in focus and drives home that 4/4.
I've played a number gigs around Manchester over the years, though it's been a while since it's been anything but an open mic, and I'm keen to meet up with people and get something going and play some gigs with a full band again.
I have transport and am keen to practice regularly each week with a view to regular gigging. I also have a good home set up for both practice, writing, and recording.
