I want to form or join an old school Rhythm & Blues core backbone band of drums, bass, 2 guitars and myself in piano & Hammond keys to get a repertoire of sets for bar, lounge bar, club, supper club gigs, with the intention of bringing in horns once the core set is tight.
Seive some Booker T & the M Gs at Stax, 1958-68. Pour in Atlantic Records of the same era. Mix with the yolks of The Spencer Davis Group. Then fold in early-mid Van Morrison and The Band.
