PornoVurt: A trashy rock band hailing from the sleazy parts of London, bringing their unique brand of glamour & decadence to the UK Rock scene. After individually experimenting with various other London based bands, PornoVurt came together and decided that the UK rock scene had been missing a certain something for too long! True showmanship! Where were all the rock gods in the 21st century? Where were the new icons of the age? And when would rock throw the world a curve ball again? PornoVurt wanted to change all of this! So with an interested independent label following their every move, the band began work on what was to become their debut release. Less than a year later the band had finished writing and recording the album which was instantly snapped up by Pop Cult Records for release through Cargo.
With the music displaying influences from hard rock, punk and 90s alternative, the band have created a sound somewhere between decadence and the dark side! The bands live shows have also proved to be an incendiary mix of attitude, energy and glamorous decadence that has seen them build up a respectable fan-base. Early reviews have compared the music to a harder and darker Placebo meets Janes Addiction, with the dangerous decadence of Appetite for Destruction
