ABOUT

Well, basically I'm here on my quest to find other like-minded peeps who wanna create some decent music without any stinkin' boundaries that most people limit themselves to...

Although whatever I do will have it's roots in metal, I feel bare naked metal is too limiting and has been done to death - I wanna break through to something which retains a sporadic heavyness, but explores the complete polar opposite of metal as we know it! (I'm not trying to sound pretentious, but this is just the way I have to describe it to really get my point across)

Although being absolute sh*thot at whatever your chosen instrument is would be a bonus, I'm not looking for any skill levels in mind - just anyone who wants to make some interesting stuff... It doesn't matter if you're no Vai or Petrucci (big respect to them though), if you have an instrument and a sense of rhythm and creativity, that's all I'm askin!

One thing I wanna avoid is that shoddy mediocre metalcore stuff that's all the rage in the local scenes around here - it's just beating a dead horse... and they have bad haircuts, nuff said.

So yeah... If this sounds like something you'd like to help me out with, I wanna hear from you... I live near Lowestoft (a place now famous thanks to a dissing from Gene Simmons... he was kinda right), and I reckon that's enough info for now, well done if you've actually made it down to here and are still reading this!

Influences

I have a pretty darn diverse music taste for a "metaller"... Here's a bunch of artists in no particular order that have influenced and inspired me:

Pantera, Megadeth, Metallica, Fear Factory, Sepultura, Soulfly, In Flames, Tool, A Perfect Circle, Red Hot Chili Peppers, John Frusciante, Devin Townsend, Strapping Young Lad, Dream Theater, Alice in Chains, Jerry Cantrell, Deftones, Jane's Addiction, Radiohead, Anathema, Sigur Ros, Porcupine Tree, Opeth, Entombed, Iced Earth, Arch Enemy, Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, Nevermore, Morbid Angel, Chimaira, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Nightwish, Nine Inch Nails, The Prodigy, DJ Shadow, Massive Attack, Jurassic 5, Cut Chemist, Public Enemy, Cypress Hill, Rage Against The Machine, Korn, Incubus, Slipknot, Stone Sour, Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Therapy?, Faith No More, Pink Floyd, Queen, Black Sabbath, Michael Ja...Jefferson, and a bunch of other stuff like that from the 400 odd CD's I own (piracy is bad folks)

EQUIPMENT

I've got an Ibanez RG 370B (with a floating bridge which is a bit of a pain really), an Epiphone Les Paul (as I'm too poor to afford a Gibson) and one of those Squier Strats you get in Argos (which everyone always seems to get started on)... And a crappy little Yamaha keyboard which is really old skool, YEAH!
