I am a London-based writer-producer looking for a singer-songwriter (preferably based in East London) to collaborate on some tracks for an upcoming feature film. The film is a neo-noir thriller set in London and is currently in the late development stage, soon entering pre-production.
We need original pop songs for the film, as one of the characters is a female singer who will perform these songs. We already have some tracks written that need tweaking, so the songs are works in progress. We need to refine the lyrics and possibly record some demos with the right candidate. The style is soft rock/dream pop (think Cigarettes After Sex with some electronic elements).
The initial stage will involve taking the existing songs, fixing the lyrics, and recording basic guitar & voice or piano & voice demos. The ideal candidate must be able to record and mix their own vocals onto a guitar or piano track at home.
