Hi we're MIXOLOGY a new wedding/function band from NE England.

We are seeking a new experienced, energetic Lead Guitarist to replace our last member who had to leave for personal commitments.

You will have the opportunity to become a member of an exciting new band with an energetic live show with a USP of creating and performing mashups of well know floor fillers, and upbeat songs to keep any dancefloor filled. Therefore you will be required to cover various styles of playing including funk, pop, 70's disco, 80's, rock, and modern dance, with the equipment to cater for the various sounds and styles of our setlist.

As the name suggests we blend different songs and genres together to create unique mashups for our live shows including songs by artists like Miley Cyrus, Stevie Nicks, Bruno Mars, Pharrell Williams, The Weekend, Chic, Michael Jackson, Jessie J, Abba, Kool and the Gang, Sister Sledge, and Elton John. Our female vocalist has one of the most amazing and unique voices in the industry and can cover a full range of styles and genres with her vocal tones second to none.

We have a great RCF / Allen and Heath PA and full extensive lighting and lazer rig which allows us to produce a spectacular live show .

We utilise backing tracks, purely to embellish our live performance, which gives us our unique live sound and feel. Any applicants will therefore be required to be click track orientated as we use an IEM system during our performance.

We use a Roland VAD 706 electronic kit, synths, samples and triggers along with our backing tracks which gives us a unique sound, and means all instruments run directly through our PA which reduces the need for stage equipment, amps, cabinets etc.

Applicants will be expected to commit to weekly rehearsals (at least untill up to speed, where rehearsals will be fortnightly, or as required once gigging).

You will also have the opportunity to record and perform in our showreel which we're about to record in our purpose built private studio/rehearsal room which allows us exclusive access to facilities.

Due to members work and personal commitments we expect to gig approx 1-2 times a month with the option to add additional gigs if commitments permit. Gigs will predominantly be weddings, functions, parties and fees will be split equally amongst members.

It would be preferable that you have no other commitments with other bands as we have discovered this can cause issues with commitments and availability (however this may not be a deal breaker, depending on circumstances)
