I am an enthusiastic and experienced drummer and musician with 10 years playing experience (Gigs include some relatively famous names and large venues.. listed at the bottom).

I hold grade 8 drums. I cover all styles; rock, funk, jazz, latin, reggae, blues I enjoy playing everything, the only exception being that I prefer not to play to anything with screamed vocals. Hard rock/ borderline metal stuff is cool, I am good with double kick.

I play confidently and intuitively (and if necessary, spontaneously) so I am useful when it comes to dep work. I have a very flexible, adaptable technique and time feel. I'm sensitive to the requirements of the song; I play for music's sake not for my own! (though I do have chops also). I enjoy the fun of playing in a function band, whilst maintaining that ambition and effort are essential ingredients to good music. I have really good gear and my own transport.

Note: I am currently involved with 'Jacuzzi Soup' (function band) so any work I do needs to be either dep work/ on the basis that these gigs take priority.

Quick Bio:
I started out as a keyboard/piano player at the age of ten. I still keep up my piano playing and have a deep understanding of the way music works as far as pitch and harmony are concerned.
I started drumming at around fourteen. For around five years I was taught by Ken West at Yamaha Music School in Canterbury. During this time I worked very hard on my technical ability and made rapid progress.
Since then I have played countless gigs and shows which has given me solid confidence.
I have just finished a degree in commercial music at Christchurch University in Broadstairs where I received instrumental tuition from Jason McCluskey, one of Kent's best rock drummers. This course challenged me to develop my overall feel to a much higher level. My musical skills aren't just limited to performance; I tracked, mixed and produced the album 'All Of Me' by Change Canterbury in my self built project recording studio. I have done live sound reinforcement ('sound guy') for SMB Church, Canterbury.

Played at the Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury (1000 seat audience): 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009 (YMS yearly showcase). Played at the Quarterhouse Theatre, Folkestone 2011, 2012 (Canterbury Christchurch University Commercial Music programme showcase).
