Started playing Bass in the early 1970's for a band doing Rock 'n' Roll and 60's covers, only to local club and pub standard. Last played in a post punk/new wave band in the late 80's to a higher standard but still local clubs and pubs. Moved around the world a bit for a few years, jammed occasionally but started losing interest. Then someone reminded me that if you can play an instrument you should never give it up so I bought new kit, didn't do much other than play along with Radio and CD tracks for a while but am currently bassist with a covers band playing 60's and 70's blues pop and rock plus more recent tracks, but still looking for new opportunities though. I really like melodic Bass with interesting time signatures and fiddly bits, influences have been Sting, McCartney, Chris Squire (Yes), Colin Moulding (XTC).
