Hello everyone.
I'm looking for members to join my band Oystercatcher.
Musically:
The songs bridge the space between avant-garde and pop.
Some comparisons could be made to the psychedelic-tinged folk pop of 'Forever Changes' by Love, the punchy political punk of 'The Feeding of the 5000' by Crass, and the oppressive alternative rock of 'The Holy Bible' by Manic Street Preachers.
Lyrically:
Many of the songs revolve around serious topics such as self-harm, addiction, religion, identity crisis, global politics, sex etc; but others revolve around lighter topics like love and celtic mythology.
What I'm looking for:
No matter your instrument - I want to hear you play!
I think we need a lead guitarist, a drummer, a bassist, a cellist/violist, and someone to sing female backing vocals;
but I'd also love to hear how keyboards, flute, or violin would fit.
