Oxjam Clapham Music Festival is looking for bands, singers, musicians, DJs, comedians, theatre and performance artists to fill our stages on the 13th October. All bands donate their time to entertain the audience and use music to help fight poverty.
Growing each and every year, Oxjam has quickly become the UK’s biggest music festival, with hundreds of events taking place all over the UK every October. Since its beginning in 2006 there have been over 3,500 events, with more than 45,000 musicians and 900,000 attendees. Oxjam events have ranged from tiny pop up gigs, to the incredible multi-venue Takeover Days. All of this has raised over £1.75 million for Oxfam's work in the UK and abroad – which is enough to pay for 15,000 emergency shelters; 70,000 goats or 1050 classrooms.
Set out to be South West London’s hottest new music festival, this year Oxjam is coming to Clapham for the first time. A serious of warm up events over the summer will culminate in the Oxjam Clapham Takeover Day on Saturday 13th October 2012. Different to any other Clapham music festival, Oxjam will be taking over Clapham High Street – where one wristband will give you access to multiple venues and almost one hundred acts all in one day.
Venues include: The White House, Secondo, Arch 635, 64th and Social with more to be announced.
