Meet local musicians at NETWORK JAM isan independently run jam night held at FatBack Studio.

This is a jam night and local musicians bring riffs, songs, re-worked covers to add to the jam and friendly vibe.

The main aim is to enjoy a night of improv, play along to the songs/music of local artistsand
Bands have been formed by musicians who have met at the jam.

There is no audience - all who turn up participate so there is a freedom from worrying about mistakes and you can play anything you want

Bring your own riffs, chord patterns, grooves, and sense of humour. Re-worked covers are also an option. Styles so far have included rock, indie, acoustic, reggae, funk. All types of instruments and vocalists needed to keep jam fresh. Intermediate plus.

To give you an example of who comes to NJ and why:
Singer songwriters looking to play their their songs and have other musicians jam along creating a bigger sound.
Musicians looking to find bandmembers, or to jam original songs and riffs, or to meet a varied musical base to draw on for their own future collaborations and recordings.
Musicians already in bands looking for one night of a complete change of style and inspiration.
Musicians who just love to improvise and meet friendly people. :)

NETWORK JAM takes place first Tuesday and third Wednesday of the month at FatBack Studios, 28 Stratford Street North, CampHill, off the Stratford Road, Birmingham. 7.30pm to 10pm.
For further information and to book a place
Each jam will go ahead if a drummer and/or a vocalist is booked

Unlike blues jams this night is aimed at musicians who are into styles more typically found at Glastonbury and Reading.
At Network Jam musicians can find themselves spontaneously involved in the music of local singer - songwriters.
Network Jam is an independently run jam night held at FatBack Studio. It exists for people to make more music, meet new musicians, improvise, or find work contacts.
Make it happen by turning up - regularly or on a casual basis.
An open door to friendly musicians, a chance to bring your own original songs, riffs, grooves, re-worked covers to jam with others. Chance to meet new musicians for future colloaborations or a one off night of improvisation
