I'm a versatile vocalist looking to join a band of fun, like minded people for gigging or for pleasure.
I've been singing for a number of years, just never gigged or been in a band and have realised that life is too short not to just get out there and do it.
I have eclectic tastes in music, so wouldn't rule anything out, but for the record - I don't want to be a wedding singer or anything that cliched so if that's what you're about, great but count me out, I can't stand to sing songs like 'build me up buttercup'!
Recently I've started getting into the more bluesy side of music, but have always been a bit keen on funk and am also able to sing a number of other styles - if I like the song I'll give it ago, but I also know what works for my voice so if it isn't coming together, I know when to move on.
I really want to join a band and just get out there and enjoy myself singing and being part off something fun. I do have kids, but am free 3 nights a week, and am more than happy to spend those evenings practising and gigging.
Ultimately I want to be the lead singer in a band, but am open to backing singing for the right band too.
