Hi, I’m Nik - singer, guitarist, songwriter - looking to finalise band line-up at the moment, but open to other potential collaborations across heavy, hardcore, and punk projects.

Half Century Kid is an Edinburgh-based high voltage punk ’n’ roll band w/ an 80s US/SoCal hardcore twist. Demos on the profile. Think early Turbonegro, Hellacopters, New Bomb Turks, Misfits, crossed with Poison Idea, Black Flag, and hints of Motörhead.

We’re urgently looking for a bassist who lives and breathes hardcore punk and/or metal, and can be gig and recording-ready quickly, assuming the chemistry is right. Age doesn’t matter — musical connection and being sound humans does.

We’ve got enough material for multiple EPs and are closing in on a full LP set. The aim is simple: start gigging + get into recording ASAP.
