Hi, my name is Nico Wouters! I was born and raised in Belgium and I began playing the guitar when I was 16 years old. When I started playing I soon developed a big addiction for music. Playing the guitar has been a lifelong passion from the moment I played my first chord. Since then the process of making music and playing with other musicians has been my one and only true vocation. I can safely say that the guitar is one of the most important things in my life.

I studied music for 2 years at the ‘Royal College of Music’ in Brussels. After completing my studies I was keen to explore the musical possibilities over in England. Soon enough, I moved to London in 2003 and I was adamant to make a living out of playing my instrument.

During my musical journey I have played in a countless number of ‘covers’ bands and ‘original’ bands. I have gained valuable experience in the industry thanks to the large number of pubs and wedding ceremonies I have played at over the last 10 years. I am proud to say that In 2005, I was awarded the ‘Best Guitar UK’ prize at the ‘Emergenza’ contest at London’s famous ‘Mean Fiddler’ venue in London.

When I am not gigging, I find the time to pass on my knowledge to other students. I am also an experienced guitar teacher and I love teaching any student who wants to take music seriously.
