ABOUT

I'm a singer songwriter, play piano and guitar looking for upright bass-player, cellist and drummer to fully harness, complement, lift, enhance the existing songs. I have written songs for many years - indie-folk with pop influence - sometimes for professional theatre and radio productions (I was previously an actor/writer and have played guitar, uke and keyboards in theatre shows). Lately mostly been composing on piano though have a lot of rhythm guitar-led songs too. Have some specific notes in mind for songs that are fully formed but open to just jamming and discovering different choices, hearing the notes and beats others want to play, playing with the structure of my songs in response to others' creative impulse. Would like to get some songs to point of playing them live somewhere but have next to no experience gigging. I'm committed to seeing where it might all go but have other life/job commitments so would be looking initially just to play together one evening a week. Have outhouse space at home, Haslemere or can travel if it's local.

EQUIPMENT

I have a studio space at home (space for four musicians) which has a nice acoustic giving natural reverb but not too much. Also, a small recording booth at one end of it. Two acoustic/semi-acoustic guitars and a uke or two, pianos (one upright and a Yamaha CP225), two microphones and interface for recording et.c. Small 15 year old cube buskers amp, not used since my wedding in 2012.
