Near was formed in January 2007 in Ipswich, Suffolk. Motivated and influenced by a number of great rock bands the guys decided to form their own band to follow their dreams. The first demo was recorded, produced and mixed by them at a home studio. Their music is filled with all sorts of interesting forms and textures. It can be characterized as colorful, modern, alternative edged, melodic rock. Near has a heavy sensibility with serious instrumentals and emotional vocals.
