I am currently playing Bass in a band called Light City Mission, which so far consists of myself on Bass and backing Vocals and the main creative leader who plays Guitar and Lead Vocals.
We are seeking a drummer to complete the trio. Due to the nature of how my musical partner plays his guitar, we want to keep it bare-bones as there's a lot going on already and we don't want to over-complicate the rest of the sound.
I would say we were a healthy mix of Foo Fighters / Pearl Jam style rock with clean vocals (my friend is Scottish and sings in his native accent, which is refreshing!), but we have a lot of country and folky influences that bleed into our sound. My friend may disagree with my choices in the first sentence, but that's what I hear. :)
The kind of drummer we are looking for would be someone who understands that it's not all about playing hard all the time. Someone who has the musical sensitivity to hold back when the music needs breathing space, but when to let rip if the riffage is strong and needs an equally ballsy percussive onslaught.
We practice once per week in or around Exeter. When we get a drummer we will predominantly be practising in Newton Abbot, about 25 mins outside of Exeter.
We are both in our mid 30's and raring to get out and start gigging, time is of the essence! If you are a drummer and up for a challenge, get in touch! ^_^

EQUIPMENT
Band has all own equipment except for a P.A system, but practice rooms provide this and if needed we will hire when gigging.
