Hi! We're Myotopes - an alt/math-rock three-piece with an emphasis on straddling the line between catchy and bonkers.
We pride ourselves on being super energetic and visceral when playing live, and we're keen to play to a wider audience and start sharing some stages with lots of other wonderful bands!
We've recently begun spinning up the wheels again with new material and a new scope for what we want to accomplish as a band, and are now entertaining the prospect of bringing a fourth member of the band into the fold as a vocalist with the ability to play some supporting keys/electronic triggers if necessary.
Critically, we are looking for someone who is both exceptional at clean singing AND screaming. You can refer to our influences to get some impression of the bands we're looking for a similar (albeit unique, of course!) vocal sound to. We're not interested in just someone who turns up to sing/scream, mind - it's critical we work with someone who is willing to invest creatively in the band and the songwriting process.
We have newer, heavier demos to send right over upon request - so please do get in touch if you're interested!
We currently rehearse in North London / Welwyn Garden City, depending on the day. Ideally we'd be looking for someone also in their 20s who is based in or around London, and would be willing to put in the level of commitment we want to make this band a success. We're under no impression that we'll ever become a 'big' band, but we're confident that we can push hard into the Math/Alt-rock scene around the country and have an absolute blast while doing it. Which sounds like fun, right?
