Is there any FRESH MUSIC in Leicester ?
We are a keys player and a drummer with a Jazz background.
Our project is to put across timeless, funky fresh tracks through a LIVE BAND.
We were thinking…
…salt ‘n’ pepper, warren g, miles davis, stevie wonder, neptunes, dr dre…
…but with a new flavour to them all…
We’re lookin for…
Bass
A player with a solid foundation but who can bring something more to the sound.
The musician list below is people who have been in contact and who are pretty much lined up.
This setup is all riding on us sourcing a quality bass player.
Probably electric but perhaps an amped string bass would work too.
We’re lookin to get the rhythm trio down before we add the other parts.
Don’t be put off by the usual popular setting of some of these artists. This is part of the point, to present them in a way never (or very rarely) heard before. Our foundations are Jazz and Funk extensions. Some of the players we’ve lined up are also from these roots. So there’s no doubt that they’ll be plenty of creativity and improvisation in this project. It all adds to the fusion.
