ABOUT

Quirky and the catchy tracks in a fusion of genres.
Misinjin bring their random life experiences to their equally random audiences.

Songs reflect recurring psychosocial themes, personal and universal. With vocals by the amazing Heidi McGeogh, drums, guitars of all kinds and keys by Jane Lane.

The music offers resonances of the vibe in New Brighton's seascape expanding outwards with Middle Eastern and European influences. The mindflow of the writer, Jane Lane, takes Misinjin songs through relatively poppy, quirky, and understated tracks, with elements of pop, dubstep, folk, rock, reggae, and electro, to others others being downright annoyed punk.

Misinjin aims to entertain and challenge.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

We are in need of female musicians who can engage with a confident, fun performance style with passion. Over 18s ideal but we are open-minded for the right person.

Band members would be expected to contribute creatively, and therefore would be eligible for any relevant royalties. One of the key advantages of taking part in the project would be learning how to go through this process correctly with reference to musician contributions.

There will also be a splitshare in sales, bookings etc once we reach that stage.

There are 14 tracks on the album but musicians taking part don't necessarily have to work on all of them.

We can cover reasonable out of pocket expenses, such as bus fares or a sandwich, but we don't yet have any funding, although some of our other projects have been with record labels.

If you think you may be interested, by all means get in touch for a chat, or come over to listen to some of our music.

Influences

A variety of influences, I tend to leave the analysis to others. Some eighties, psychedelic ideas.

Both reggae rhythms and punk are there to some extent, there is dubstep reference, some folk elements. Just an open-minded approach.

It'd be easy to reverse engineer an influences list, but I have very eclectic tastes.

EQUIPMENT

Ummm.

Still recording, we'll decide this when the music's recorded and ready to gig. We are well equipped both physically and technically to organise tours, and have quite a bit of experience in this area.
