Hi, my name is Jay.
I have been write and recording my own music under the name of Mind Sculpture. I have a nice little mac pro/logic based DAW home studio where I produce my songs.
I play all guitars, drums, bass, keyboards and vocals. I guess you could label Mind Sculpture as progressive rock if you wish, I prefer just to think of it as adventurous song writing.

Influences

Porcupine Tree - Steven Wilson has been my biggest influence in recent years with regards to production ideas and songwriting.

Muse - really into them at the moment. They somehow manage to pull of the overblown epics.

Opeth - I just love the contrast the have in their music.

Rush - been a fan for years. Alex Lifeson being a huge influence on my guitar playing.

Marillion - love the spirit of this band.

Pink Floyd - Love the epic scale of their albums.

Ozric Tentacles - Opened my eyes as to what you can do with instrumental music.

Led Zep - One of the best bands ever.
