Jiezuberband are looking for a committed drummer to join the band. The right person is somebody who shares the existing band members ethos of working towards writing and touring professionally. This will require hard work and a commitment of time from the right candidate.
The band are currently in a writing phase, working towards the recording of the debut album which the band are seeking funding from external sources and is pencilled in for a late September for recording and mastering in a Glasgow studio (which has already been selected).
2012 will be a big year for the band and you are the right person if you want to be performing large shows in front of big crowds at venues of the O2 Academy, Barraland and similar calibre and large festivals such as T in The Park, Sonisphere, Glastonbury etc....
In the immediate future the band has a headline show at The Glasgow Garage on May 22nd (Future of Rock Festival) and, most likely, a Main Stage appearance at Cockrock (Cumbria) and an acoustic support with 'Fish' ex-Marillion in Glasgow. Later in August the band will follow 'The Charlatans' on stage at the Galtres festival (Yorkshire) and play Onboard The Craft Festival (Derbyshire) Early Sept. Around the time of the album recording Jiezuberband will announce a headline show at The Barraland at which a live DVD is planned to be filmed.
The right candidate is somebody who can embrace many styles such as Rock, Funk, Jazz and everything else in between. The band wants somebody who is not afraid to try something different, is clearly of a high standard and comfortable in different setups such as acoustic (percussion only) or full band (Full kit or even electronic kits).
The ultimate aim is to produce and tour a landmark album which will blow peoples minds. The live show will be key to the bands success and flamboyance and eccentricity is more than welcome.
